Dear Richard

I would like to take this opportunity to express my opinion on the service provided by The Emigration Group and Taylor & Associates. From the initial contact and interview in London where, we were provided with information on the immigration process to the final confirmation of New Zealand residency, we had extreme confidence in the teams, to deliver a world-class service. The Chester office, were extremely helpful and always answered our query's in a cheerful and professional manner. They consistently provided all the essential information to allow the residency to be completed without any problems. This allowed us to focus on other important issues and significantly reduced the amount of “stress” that accompanies this major decision to emigrate.

The job search in New Zealand was successful in receiving 3 job offers, in 3 weeks of my arrival. This was achieved through a structured process between client and recruitment consultant to understand my career aspirations as well as the family's lifestyle requirements. The job search was focused on a specific business sector in the Utilities area and utilized a range of recruitment contacts that had been developed by the consultant. As an individual, I would not be able to source those contacts and using the consultant provided an additional level of credibility and professionalism. Regular contact was maintained with the recruitment consultant, to review options and discuss the appropriate strategies across a wide range of topics.

Our main contact through the process was, Diane Cornelius. She a credit to your organisation and understood the issues and problems that occur during the immigration process. We would like to thank everyone again for all their help. I would recommend your company to other potential migrants and wish you and your employee's success in the future.

Yours sincerely

Sarah

Myself and Bob just wanted to say a big thank you for helping us get our visa's for Australia. Your help has been invaluable.

We've booked a trip for August to get the visas validated, and hopefully if the sale of our flat goes through we'll be moving over to Melbourne in October.

There are a couple of things that I need to ask.

Firstly, could you put me an information pack in the post for one of our friends (she's now got the bug too!!)

Secondly, we are hoping that Bob's mom can join us in a couple of years when she retires. We were wondering if you could give us any advice or information regarding obtaining her visa (ie type of visa, when to apply etc). As she will be back in England still we will require your assistance as well in dealing with the application for her.

Thanks again for all of your help. We'll keep in touch and let you know our contact details as soon as we get there so that when you come over you can pop in for a cup of tea.

Hello Sally

Just a note from sunny Auckland to say thank you so much for everything.

When we arrived a Heathrow waiting for the plane to start our new adventure Zak and I said how we would not have liked to have gone through this whole process without your help and support. When the points system changed you let us know straight away and sent us a copy of the official statement so that we knew where we were in the process. The same thing happened when we went for the medicals although the Doctor didn't know that the medical forms had changed again and we were able to quickly phone you, find out exactly what blood tests etc were needed. This saved time and money and took away any feeling of ambiguity.

We were particularly pleased that you didn't rush us or put us under any pressure to move any quicker than our slow pace at the beginning whilst we waited to sell our house. With four children you can only go at a speed that you are comfortable with and you understood that.

When we had any queries you were always at the end of the phone and able to deal with them for us. The job-search arm of your business is a great help. There is no way at all that Zak would have found his job with City Care without Diane Cornelius and her completely professional approach to arranging interviews to him.

You have still been there giving support and advice since we arrived here as well, you did not just ignore us once your job was done.

We would wholeheartedly recommend any person thinking of starting a new life in New Zealand to use your services. You were as a company both professional and honest and as a person you were always bright and cheerful when I phoned you – which in the last few weeks prior to leaving was often!

Finally can I say a big although I feel somewhat inadequate thank you so much for everything that you have done for us as a family.

Best wishes

Zac (Andrew) & Sadie H. (Water Treatment Plant Operator)

Hi Diane x 2, Joanna and Phill

Thanks

When signing my contract with The Emigration Group 1½ years ago (yes, it was that long ago…) I had a big dream – to live in what was, and still is, to me the most amazing place in the World: Aotearoa/New Zealand. I had lived in Germany for many years and after traveling to New Zealand in 2000 and again in January 2003, I decided that this place would have to become my new home.

I had picked up a brochure in 2000 (which I kept for 3 years!) and contacted The Emigration Group. After some research into various companies that provide the service of helping customers relocate to New Zealand, The Emigration Group made the best impression on me. So after contacting TEG in Chester and filling in an initial evaluation regarding my chances of eligibility for residency in New Zealand, I was invited to attend an interview in London to discuss details of the process, fees etc.

This, too, made an excellent impression on me, that I was dealing with professionals. The Emigration Group is, as far as I'm aware, the only company that also deals with probably the most important part of immigrating into New Zealand, since this is a prerequisite for the immigration authorities: To find SUITABLE employment. This is done via their sister company in New Zealand, Taylor & Associates. It cannot be any job but needs to be one which matches an applicant's qualifications, which of course makes it more difficult for an applicant who is over 20,000km away and doesn't know the dynamics of the NZ labour market. So I signed a contract with The Emigration Group/Taylor & Associates.

Throughout the entire process I was guided by very competent, professional and exceptionally nice people, who were always aware of the fact that they were not just doing a job but had a major role to play in working on the destiny/happiness of someone who has decided to change his life for the better. There were many uncertainties throughout the process, which was due to a change in immigration laws during my application phase and general uncertainty as to whether or not my application would be accepted. The entire process of emigration to a new country, especially NZ with its very strict immigration laws, is very complex and I'm very happy to have invested the money to let professionals help me along the way. There were many anxious moments for me but throughout the application process, I had a quietly confident feeling that all would turn out well in the end. This feeling, too, was based on the knowledge that I was dealing with people for whom It was important and not just another client - and who know what they're doing.

So from my decision to emigrate to being guided along all the things, documents medicals etc. that needed to be done, there was always a helping hand along my exciting journey. This included, of course, the exceptional work of Taylor & Associates, who opened many doors for me, so that after only a few weeks in New Zealand in November 2003, I had 5(!) suitable job offers to choose from. The work visa & residency application was also done exceptionally well by The Emigration Group in Chester. After receiving a work visa in March 2004 and traveling one-way to Auckland in mid-March 2004, I still needed to apply for permanent residency, which had become significantly more complicated in November 2003 due to a change in New Zealand's immigration laws. On 19th October 2004, NZ Immigration stamped my passport and sent it back to TEG, who passed it on to me in NZ. Please find attached a photo which expresses quite well what this (to now be a permanent resident in this beautiful country) means to me.

New Zealand has turned out to be all and more than I had hoped for and I couldn't possibly imagine going back to my previous life in Europe. The people here are friendly, it is an exceptionally beautiful country with a pleasant climate. My life has improved significantly and looking back on the emigration process & costs incurred, I can say that every single dollar / Euro spent was worth it.

So thanks again especially to Diane Cornelius, Diane Vale, Joanna Brizell and Phill Platt for your great work in helping me fulfill my dream of living in New Zealand! The best part about it is that when I open my eyes and wake up from the dream, the reality is even nicer than I imagined!

Hi Andrew

Promised that the next time you heard from us would be from New Zealand and here we are. The house in Colchester is rented for 6 months and up for sale, our worldly goods are in a container somewhere between Spain and the Panama canal as we speak, and we are in a very nice apartment in downtown Auckland next to Viaduct Harbour.

We arrived on the 19th March as planned, Di started her Job on Monday 21st, and my retirement lasted all of two days as I now have a four month contract with the franchise company that re-sells the software I used to train in the UK – so we have hit the ground running. Already starting to feel at home – the weather has been really good and we've spent the four days of Easter exploring some of Auckland's 20 Regional parks – walking and swimming so far, though a fishing rod and a couple of Kayaks are pretty high up the list.

I have to admit to a good laugh seeing the usual news story on the BBC News web site “Easter getaway causes travel chaos” – so no change there then – we travelled widely over the holiday and traffic was just not an issue – I've already treated myself (sorry I mean us ☺) to a Nisan X Trail which I would never have dreamed of owning in the UK because of the traffic – it was also around six grand cheaper in NZ!!

Already, the reasons we came to New Zealand have shown it was absolutely the right decision – Di has settled straight into her job – really nice people, though the schools computer system is somewhat out of the arc – but as a job it got us here so it'll do fine for a year. I have a job to get me focused, and our leisure time has just taken off – from not wanting to go out in the UK because of the congestion, we are now like two kids in a sweetshop!!

Within six weeks we should be in rented accommodation for the year with our own things – only difficulty here is that the choice is just overwhelming. Still I'm sure we shall find something to suit.

Our kids are coming out for three weeks in August (no prizes to guessing who bought the tickets ☺) and my sister for a fortnight in November. Phoning the UK (not “home” anymore) is really cheap with a calling card so long family conversations are helping to bridge the gap that I'm sure my parent felt when we left.

So all in all two extremely satisfied customers who I think are already well on the way to making New Zealand home. Your help was invaluable, and we really could not have done it without you.

So in true Kiwi fashion if you are ever in this neck of the woods – there is a cold one with your name on it. Now that reminds me – the sun is definitely over the yard arm …….

Regards and Best wishes
