Skilled Migrant Category - Expression of Interest Selection – 9th February 2011The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 9th February 2011:
341 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
280 with job offer
61 without job offer
75EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand. 64 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included 15 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.82 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 115 or more but less than 140, and included 10 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.(A total of 562 EOIs were therefore selected)Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 15% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer.
