November 5, 2010

The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 3rd November 2010:

315 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
270 with job offer
45 without job offer

90 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled employment in New Zealand.

40 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, without a job offer, but with 15 points claimed for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.

159 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 110 or more but less than 140, and included 15 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage

(A total of 605 EOIs were therefore selected)

Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 11% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 89% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
