New Zealand Expression of Interest selection 21 March 2012
The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 21 March 2012
428 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
346 with job offer
82 without job offer
121 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand.
35 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 135 or more but less than 140, and included 15 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.
A total of 584 EOIs representing 1,259 people were therefore selected
Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 15% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 85% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
